Familiar faces this weekend! Kenny flew in to visit, and my brother was in Europe for a wedding and a show so we decided to meet up!
Friday & Saturday Morning: Nice, France
Kenny arrived in France a few hours before my flight touched down, so he spent time exploring the city and people watching over a beer and dinner. By the time we met up at our hotel in Old Town he was quite familiar with the neighborhood! After freshening up we headed out to grab a drink, catch up and wander. A large fountain was in the center of a nearby plaza. Notice his hair is actually four horses 🐎
Gelato was a must of course! Coffee, chocolate and vanilla caramel flavors
The next morning we decided to check out the markets and find a place for breakfast. This is where I should have done more research haha. I had no idea it would be practically a sauna outside! Ten minutes and my carefully selected adorable outfit was soaked in sweat 😓 Also I’d only looked at pictures of old town when I chose our location, and imagined a quaint, quiet place. Not so! Nice, as everyone probably knows, is a tourist hotspot and huge city. Like any other, it’s kind of dirty and crowded with lots of people, not the romantic town I imagined haha. Still awesome though!
The markets were pretty cool, vendors offered fruits, spices, candy, books, art, olive oil, seafood and soap.

I was determined to find the part of Old Town as I’d seen it in pictures (red rooftops, old buildings, crooked streets–charming!), so we walked around the narrow streets searching.
Eventually I realized that the ariel view was likely quite different and suggested we find a hill to hike up. I was right!
We then saw it was time to meet up with Luce at our hotel and headed back down. Found a church filled with art and artifacts along the way

Saw Luce and learned he lost his passport! This resulted in a giant headache he’s still dealing with through tonorrow, but maybe a blessing in disguise as we got to hang outfit an extra day 😃. Got food and hopped on a train to Monaco!
